Dr. Rosa Osteicoechea
Dr. Osteicoechea has always been driven to transform lives by unlocking the power of a confident smile. For her, dentistry is the perfect intersection of scientific precision and genuine empathy, allowing her to elevate her patients' health and happiness. Her greatest reward is watching someone see their reflection following a procedure and having their face instantly brighten. That pure joy is what makes her profession worthwhile every single day.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Like many teens, Dr. Osteicoechea required orthodontic treatment, which meant spending a lot of hours in the dental chair. Rather than feeling anxious, she found herself completely captivated by the entire process—the meticulous attention to detail, the supportive staff, and the overall atmosphere. The experience elevated her smile and skyrocketed her self-esteem. She knew right then that she wanted to replicate that life-changing experience for others, and she never looked back.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Osteicoechea started her academic journey at Miami Dade College and Florida International University, earning her bachelor’s degree in biology alongside a minor in chemistry. She then went on to earn her dental doctorate from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at JTCHC.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Originally from Venezuela, Dr. Osteicoechea is blessed with a tight-knit, affectionate family that includes three sisters and an older brother. Alongside her parents, they have served as her ultimate support system through every milestone. She cherishes moments spent with her loved ones and her pets, loves connecting with nature outdoors when the weather is nice, and also has a big passion for dancing!
